NAAC
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council — the body that grades Indian higher-education institutions on quality parameters.
NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) is an autonomous body under the UGC that evaluates and accredits Indian higher-education institutions — universities and colleges — against seven quality criteria, from curricular aspects to governance. Institutions submit a Self-Study Report (SSR) backed by supporting data before a peer-team visit determines their grade.
Because NAAC evaluation depends on continuous data — faculty publications, student feedback, outcome mapping — institutions that capture this data only before an audit typically struggle to compile a complete, defensible SSR in time.
